All-State / District

The state of Alabama only sanctions two honor bands, District and All State. Each year the Alabama Band Masters post the audition materials in August. The students have from August until the last week of January to prepare their materials. Students will then go through an audition process consisting of the following:

• Scales (All 12 major scales, 2 minor scales, and chromatic)

• Lyrical Prepared Exercise

• Technical Prepared Exercise

• Sight Reading
